The ribs, chicken and pulled pork that I ordered from you for our Easter dinner were awesome. The chicken was juicy, the ribs were tender and had a great flavor, the BBQ pork was perfect. HEY JUST WANTED TO TELL YOU HOW WONDERFUL YOUR BBQ IS. I CAME ACROSS YOU GUYS AT EARTH DAY IN NASHVILLE IN THE PARK. I ORDERED TWO SANDWICHES AND CAME BACK WITH MY MOM AND WE ORDERED ONE A PIECE. Just wanted to tell you how much we LOVED the BBQ you brought by for Hollister Incorporated to sample. You really threw me for a loop with the generous lunch for our guys and it sure didn't last long. Now to the important part…..You guys have to do a restaurant because I don't want to wait for a catered lunch to have your food.
Not even sure where to start on how good the food was but here it goes: The brisket; Oh man it had that true Hickory smoked blackened crust and pink smoke ring, better than Texas brisket smoked with mesquite wood and so tender and moist. The pork was very good and again had that great smoked taste that is hard to find. The other places wash the smoke flavor out with the steam table reheating. The wings had to be the best wings I've ever had and I'm not really a wing person.
Your side dishes could make a restaurant alone. Great homemade baked beans with your special homemade sauce peeking through. Those are not the same ol'baked beans as everyone else. The mac-n-cheese is better than mine and I like to think I'm a good southern cook. Corn Casserole was very yummy and not like anything else I've had. It was gone quick!
The sauces….You guys nailed it!!!! I can't do a real hot sauce but I tried your hot sauce in small amounts and it had great flavor and then the kick set in. The hot sauce lovers loved the heat and kept eating it. The sauce is not Tennessee Hot but Texas Hot. The milder sauce was my favorite because I'm a wimp. The sauce had lots of unique flavor instead of being hot to be hot.
Desserts were straight up homemade. The Peanut Butter Kiss cookies had to be from Grandma's house. Loved the cheery cobbler as it was the old fashion Bubble Up style like the recipe we all have gotten from our grandmothers.
We will certainly be looking for any and all excuses to order from you guys! Send me a price sheet when you can and think about that restaurant option. I'm hungry now for some more BBQ from Slow and Low!
Thanks again for the best free lunch ever……I'll pay good money to get more!
